Coaching Staff

Head Coach - Dave Reno 

Dave Reno begins his third season in charge of the Xavier Ice Hockey program. With the teams toughest and longest schedule to date, Coach Reno looks to continue to move the Hockey Program at Xavier University in the right direction.

Associated with the game of ice hockey as a player, referee and coach. Ten years coaching experience at the amateur, high school and collegiate levels. Obtained Masters Certification in coaching (2006). Played collegiate ice hockey for the University of Dayton.

Associate Head Coach - Chuck Stout

Chuck Stout begins his third season with the Xavier Ice Hockey program.

Assistant Coach - Chris Bergstrom ('05)

A former Xavier Musketeer, Chris Bergstrom begins his fourth season with the Xavier Ice Hockey program as a coach.

Chris, who has been associated with hockey for 19 years, began his career with the program in 2005 when the club was still in its beginning stages. He played collegiate ice hockey at Butler University and Xavier University.

Assistant Coach - Jonathan Reno

Jonathan Reno begins his first season with the Xavier Ice Hockey program.

Jonathan has been associated with the game of hockey for 13 years. He has played for numerous teams in the Cincinnati area, including most recently the Cincinnati Jr. Cyclones and Lakota East High School.

Team Manager - Carol Bergman ('12)

Carol Bergman begins her first season as the Xavier University Ice Hockey Team Manager.  Carol is a sophomore Business major from Batesville, IN.

Director of Game-Day Operations - Brian Hartzell ('12)

Brian Hartzell begins his first season as the Xavier University Ice Hockey Director of Game-Day Operations.  In this role Brian is in charge of set-up, in-game promotions, and intermission entertainment. Brian is a sophomore Business major from Chicago, IL.
