Medical Plan Renewal

  • We have renewed our current plan designs at an increase of 6.9% shared evenly by employees and the university

HSA Employee Contribution Limits

  • Single: $3,250 (increase of $150)
  • Family: $6,450 (increase of $200)
  • Catch up contributions for employees 55+:$1,000

Dental Care Plus

  • 0% increase in premiums

Medical Flexible Spending/Reimbursement Account

  • Tax free maximum contribution for 2013 decreases from $4,000 to $2,500. This decrease is mandated by law

Voluntary Humana Vision Plan

  • No cost increase in vision
  • Humana Vision is replacing Avesis Vision Plan
  • Larger EyeMed Network that includes Lenscrafters other retail locations and private practices 
  • Enhancement in vision benefits

Voluntary Critical Illness/Cancer Benefits

  • Receive benefits in addition to your medical benefits
  • Coverage offers security and assist employees with a variety of expenses should they, or a covered family member, be affected by one of the covered conditions so they can focus on getting better and not on medical expenses. It also provides a health screening benefit of $150 a year per covered employee and spouse
     

Voluntary Accident Benefits

  • Coverage helps offset the medical expenses incurred when a covered member does have an accident. It can also cover doctor office visits; sometimes for any cause
