Family Nurse Practitioner - Assistant Professor in Nursing
The Xavier University, School of Nursing invites applications and nominations for the position of a full-time, tenure track in the area of family practice nursing or adult primary care beginning January, 2013. Required qualifications include: a doctorate or ABD in nursing or a related field, master’s degree in nursing, clinical expertise in the area of family practice or adult primary care, advance practice certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. Previous teaching experience at baccalaureate or higher degree level in the area of Family Care Nursing or Adult Primary Care is preferred. Duties include preparing, teaching and evaluation assigned courses and using teaching strategies that are appropriate to needs of learners. The successful candidate will be expected to initiate research or work on research projects in his/her area of interest and to publish in nationally recognized journals, and providing school, university and community services.
