Assistant Professor in Nursing
The Xavier University, School of Nursing invites applications and nominations for the position of a full-time, tenure track to teach in the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs beginning August, 2013. Required qualifications include: a doctorate or ABD in nursing or a related field, master’s degree in nursing a minimum of two years of practice as a registered nurse. Previous teaching experience at baccalaureate or higher degree level in the area of psychiatric and forensic nursing is preferred. Duties include preparing, teaching and evaluation assigned courses and using teaching strategies that are appropriate to needs of learners. The successful candidate will be expected to initiate research or work on research projects in his/her area of interest and to publish in nationally recognized journals, and providing school, university and community services.
The Xavier University School of Nursing has established itself as one of the premier nursing programs in the country and has grown in national reputation for excellence in preparing nurses at both the undergraduate (BSN) and graduate (MSN) levels.
