Removing the Charge

Like most universities, Xavier requires that all full-time undergraduates are covered by a health insurance plan. You may use your existing health insurance to satisfy this requirement or you may purchase the health insurance offered by Xavier.

Full-time undergraduate students and international students with F-1 and J-1 visas are automatically enrolled in the Xavier-sponsored plan and the charge will be on your bursar bill. Coverage under the Plan begins on August 15, 2009.  If you already have other acceptable health insurance, and do no wish to participate in this Plan, you may waive this coverage and remove the charge online prior to the waiver deadline of October 2, 2009.

International students are required to enroll in the Xavier-sponsored Plan, and may not remove the charge.

Follow the instructions below to remove the charge.

1. Go to: http://www.aetnastudenthealth.com/schools/xavier
2. Click on Enroll/Waive and follow the instructions. You will need information found on your current health insurance ID card to complete the process.

You must take action to remove this charge or you will be automatically enrolled in the Xavier student health insurance plan and will not be permitted to waive coverage after the October 2, 2009 deadline.
