Xavier Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP)

Xavier University is excited to announce the availability of the 2017-2018 Student Health Insurance Plan offered through United Healthcare.

Who is eligible?

All full-time undergraduate students (taking at least 12 credit hours) and International students with F-1 and J-1 Visas are required to have current health insurance coverage with a U.S. claims address.

Other Xavier University students who are eligible to purchase the plan on a voluntary basis include:

  • Undergraduate students taking 6-11 credit hours
  • Graduate students taking 6 or more credit hours who are enrolled in an organized course of study or degree program given by an academic department of the University
  • Students taking less than 6 credit hours, but who are either enrolled in an organized course of study or degree program given by an academic department at the University and who are fulfilling a non-coursework requirement of that program
  • Spouses and dependent children of Xavier University students who are enrolled in the Plan.

The 2017-18 Premium cost is $2,690.00 and annual coverage period is 8/15/17 thru 8/14/18.
