Medical Services

Xavier's Health and Wellness Center provides the highest quality medical care for our students.

Our primary care physicians are Board Certified in Internal Medicine and have many years experience both in private practice and in college health. Most are Xavier grads! We have physician hours at the Health and Wellness Center every weekday of the academic year and on-call access at all other times.

We have specialist physicians on staff in the areas of women's health, nutrition, and psychiatry.

There is no charge to be seen by a primary care or specialist physician at the Health and Wellness Center.

Our staff nurses are certified in College Health and provide direct nursing care, support, counseling and information about disease prevention, healthy living, nutrition, and many other topics. They are are well-experienced in dealing with the medical problems and concerns which affect college students and have additional training and certification in College Health.

Often, a consultation with one of our nurses is sufficient to help with many routine student problems.

Special medical services include allergy injections, laboratory services and travel immunizations and information for people traveling abroad.
