Solar & Electric Vehicles
Xavier’s electric cars, nicknamed the “Green Machines,” are two-passenger vehicles utilized by the mail center and Physical Plant. The cars are street legal and can be driven on both the side walk as well as the grass. The electric cars get about 45 miles per charge and cost roughly $0.88 to charge. The battery has an average lifespan of 6-10 years. Physical Plant also utilizes solar-powered vehicles while traveling around Xavier’s campus.
