A Sustainable Future

In March 2008, Xavier University created a sustainability sub-committee in response to the requirements of the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment. The group, which represents a cross-section of the campus community, is charged with the long-term goal of developing a comprehensive plan for achieving climate neutrality and the short-term goal of initiating tangible actions to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases. The target date for this plan is spring 2010. Feedback sessions will gather input from all consituencies.
