Endowments

Endowment funds are critical to Xavier's financial stability. These permanently invested funds provide annual income for scholarships, faculty chairs and professorships. The funds reduce tuition dependency, lend increased stability to institutional financial planning and provide bottom-line support for Xavier's mission of providing an affordable education to students of all backgrounds.

Endowed Scholarships

Receiving a scholarship often plays a large role in a student's decision to enroll. Endowed scholarships are an investment in our current and future students, the University and the donor's legacy. Financial commitments to create endowed scholarships can be made at various levels; the minimum required commitment is $25,000.

Endowed Chairs

To further enhance our faculty and the quality of the educational experience, Xavier seeks to increase the number of endowed faculty chairs. Endowed chairs exhibit a continuing record of scholarship and creative endeavors, leadership in academic departments, innovative teaching, student advisement and mentoring. The required commitment for a fully endowed faculty chair is $2 million.

Endowed Professorships

To provide the best possible academic experience, Xavier seeks to increase the number of endowed professorships. These endowments are designed to recruit new faculty and to retain faculty whose contributions have uniquely enhanced Xavier's mission. The required commitment for a fully endowed professorship is $1 million.
