Graduate Admission

The purpose of the Graduate Student Association is to:

  • Represent the students of the various graduate programs in relation to any office or organization within or outside of the university.
  • Disseminate information to the graduate student community.
  • Provide support not available elsewhere to enhance the educational and professional development of its members.
  • Improve the quality of life for graduate students at Xavier University.

Membership

All full-time and part-time students registered for a given term (summer, spring and fall semester) in a graduate program at Xavier University are automatically members of the Graduate Student Association (GSA).

All graduate students are invited to attend our GSA meetings. The GSA is a volunteer organization; although, there are opportunities for leadership within the organization. The Graduate students in each program may choose from its members one representative and one alternate to serve in the GSA.  During the academic year, meetings are scheduled monthly.

The GSA needs the help of all graduate students to continue improving life for Xavier's graduate students. There are financial scholarships available for those who hold leadership positions within GSA, such as executive officers and program representatives.  So pitch in and help yourself as well as other graduate students!!!

Scholarships

Graduate students are eligible for the Friedlander Family Fund. This fund was created to reduce financial barriers for students allowing them to be involved in collegiate engagement opportunities. Students attending conferences, retreats, campus programs and events that involve participation costs/fees are invited to apply. Applications are to be submitted to The Office of Student Life and Leadership, Gallagher Student Center Room 300. To download Friedlander Family Fund application, click HERE.

Please join the GSA Portal Group for up-to-date information about meetings, announcements and activities. Contact current GSA President, Kevin Sanker at sankerkj@xavier.edu or the Graduate Services Office at 513-745-3360 (Elet Hall, Room 312) if you have any questions or would like more information to get involved!
