If your SAR indicates your FAFSA application has been selected for review in a process called verification, you must submit several documents to the Office of Student Financial Assistance.
Students must submit a completed verification worksheet, and they must also either:
- a. submit a copy of their and their parents' (for dependent students) federal tax return transcript(s) OR
- b. submit information online using the IRS Data Retrieval Process (watch video below); if tax figures are transferred successfully then tax return transcripts are not required.

How the IRS Data Retrieval System Works
