The Eigels

James and Delrose Eigel are long-time supporters of Xavier University. A 1956 graduate of Xavier, James Eigel began his professional career at Procter & Gamble before founding his own oil and gas production company. His belief in the value of education drove his support of local education programs and also of Xavier. He and Delrose, his wife of 48 years, established the James C. and Delrose M. Eigel Scholarship in 1997.

Their other gifts to the University helped establish the Community Building Collaborative – predecessor of the Eigel Center for Community-Engaged Learning.
