STUDENT antivirus information

In order to connect to the Xavier wireless network your computer must have anti-virus software that is up to date.  You may purchase your own anti-virus software.  If you do not own anti-virus software, or your anti-virus software is no longer valid, Xavier will provide you with McAfee Virusscan + Antispyware.  You may use McAfee Virusscan + Antispyware as long as you are enrolled at Xavier.  You must remove McAfee Virusscan + Antispyware from your computer when you graduate or leave the university.

Before you install McAfee Virusscan + Antispyware on your computer make sure that all existing anti-virus programs are uninstalled from your computer. 

Install McAfee Virusscan + Antispyware

When the download begins you may “Run” the installer or save it to you desktop and run it from there.  If you have any questions you may contact the IRC helpdesk at 745-4357.
