How to connect to
Xavier’s Wireless Network:

The following instructions will walk you through the connection process:

Having issues connecting to Xavier’s wireless network?

  • Your network driver my be out-of-date
    The most common cause of issues is an outdated network adapter driver on your computer. 

    How to discover your current network adapter driver:

    Intel PRO/Wireless Drivers for XP

    Dell WLAN(Wireless) MiniCard models: 13xx, 14xx, and 1505


  • Clean Access
    Xavier requires the use of Cisco Clean Access on all PCs that connect to the Xavier network.  There are times when the Clean Access agent has difficulty validating or executing on a machine.  Contact the IRC technical help desk for assistance.


  • Poor signal quality
    These problems arise when there is interference from other networks – cordless phone usage, microwave ovens  or the use non-Xavier wireless routers. 

    Note: PERSONAL WIRELESS ROUTERS ARE PROHIBITED AT XAVIER.
