classroom capture for course related event

WHAT IS IT?

Classroom capture is used to document in-class activities. Based on the request, a video camera and tripod are delivered and setup in the classroom. Faculty have the responsibility to start and end the recording on the camera. When the class is over, the camera and tripod are picked up. After the recording, the video is processed and can be posted in Blackboard, Canvas or sent to the faculty as a file or converted into a DVD. Generally, there is little to no editing because of the need for a quick turn around.

EXAMPLES:

Student presentations, speeches, guest speakers, lectures, group activities, etc.

PROCEDURE:

Complete the Classroom Capture Request Form at least five business days prior to the class or course related capture event. A member of the Video & Digital Media Services Team will confirm your request by email or phone and ask any additional questions.
