College of Social Sciences, Health, & Education: Interdisciplinary Teaming

Interprofessional Teaming

WHAT??? Interprofessional Teaming is the most progressive term used to describe a professional group of cooperating disciplines focused on most effectively meeting the needs of their clients. This team of Health Related Disciplines highly respects the expertise of other professionals while recognizing the need for an integrated approach to meet the complex needs of many persons receiving healthcare and wellness services. Teaming efforts have also been referred to as transdisciplinary, multidisciplinary and/ or interdisciplinary.

The motto of the Xavier University's College of Social Sciences, Health, and Education is Collaborate, Innovate, Educate. The educational experiences we support benefit students, professionals and community members.
