As we head into another recruiting season for colleges, it is interesting to see what is going on in different states. In Missouri, as seen here, the governor has ordered a tuition and fee freeze for all state colleges and universities. This is something that is happening all across the country in public institutions.

The questions become, how does a college balance its budget with rising expenses and lowering revenue? When you look at many public universities the savings will come in reduced offerings of courses, elimination of certain specialized programs, and the replacement of full-time faculty with part-time faculty. Either that or moving some course sections from large auditoriums to the basketball arenas.

What are your thoughts?
