Information for Current Students
This course is designed to familiarize all criminal justice majors with the arena of law enforcement, courts and/or corrections. Each student along with the instructor develops a 150 hour field placement in one of these settings. The student reports after each 50 clock hours to the instructor for guidance and verification.
Please be advised that all students enrolled in CJUS 391 Practicum in Criminal Justice must contact the field placement supervisor for placement approval. Most criminal justice agencies will be acceptable for placement; however, it will be necessary for supervisory purposes to have the site approved.
Secondly, a student must keep an on-site chronological "log", consisting of the data, the event and number of hours at the site.
