Quick Facts About Us

• The current location of the Controller’s office, Schmidt 102, was the original location of the  campus chapel.
• Xavier is required to have 5 audits prepared each year that requires auditors to be on campus performing audit field work for 10-12 weeks each year.
• The staff of the accounting department has over 70 years of service to Xavier University.

Mid- Year Closing

   The Controller’s Office will be producing mid-year financial statements                    as of 12/31/11. With that said, in order for us to provide a true                            picture of Xavier’s University’s financial health, we will need the                            following:

•  All invoices & Requests For Checks in your possession with a date of 12/31/11 or prior should be in our office by 1/11/12. Please allow enough time for interoffice mail to circulate.
•  If you are responsible for providing monthly information that is fed directly into Banner, please complete 12/31/11 information by 1/11/12. Accounting must feed all 2011 complete transactions by 1/12/12.
• Many of you who maintain accounts receivable have been contacted asking you to calculate the outstanding receivable as of 12/31/11. For anyone who was not contacted, we will need this amount by 1/9/11.     You can e-mail these numbers to Kim Skiles or Dan Solazzo. Remember to include your Fund or Org along with the account number so we can accurately code this revenue.
