The Office of Commuter Services and Off-Campus Living serves the Xavier commuter population, defined as any student who lives off campus. The office and staff are a resource for commuter students and advocate for the unique needs and challenges of this student population. We are committed to providing services and programs that will enhance commuter involvement and connections to the Xavier community.
Our staff consists of Cindy Lowman Stieby, Assistant Director of Residence Life/Commuter Services; Rachel Paponetti Graduate Assistant for Commuter Services and Off Campus Living; and Jai'La Nored, Student Worker. We are located in the Commuter Lounge in the Gallagher Student Center, Room 320.
We host several programs each month for commuter students. If you have any suggestions as to activities you would like to see hosted by Commuter Services, please contact us!
We are excited to continue to get to know all of our commuters and are working hard to advocate for their unique needs here on Xavier's campus.
On this website you will find information regarding upcoming programs, off-campus housing available for rent, and helpful commuter resources such as local transportation maps and schedules and the weather hotline number.
Commuter programs and information are announced regularly in the "programs" section of this site, as well as via e-mail and announcements on the "Commuter Students" group page on the MyXU portal. Commuter Council, our student club, hosts a Facebook page and an OrgSync page. If you would like to receive information on Commuter Services and Commuter Council events, please join any or all of these resources.
