Urban Anthropology

Urban anthropology is the study of current cultural systems and identities in cities as well as the various political, social, economic, and cultural forces that shape urban forms and processes.  At CBI we characterize urban anthropology as a planned examination of neighborhoods we live and work in. This includes the changes and challenges faced by modern day residents in our local communities.  Urban Anthropology describes a variety of work CBI does in urban neighborhoods as we employ asset-based planning as a means to improving quality of life.
