The Northern Kentucky Brotherhood Singers - 6:15PM
Despite having a broad resume that includes myriad television appearances and multiple tours of Spain, Canada, and the United States, The Northern Kentucky Brotherhood Singers stay true to their 20 year-old roots as an offspring from the Covington's 9th Street Baptist Church men's chorus. While only two members from the original ensemble remain, the group remains committed to community and church performances in Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati.

In addition to their R&B repertoire, they are one of the nation's few remaining groups performing in the old-fashioned "jubilee" style of a cappella gospel music, pioneered by ensembles including the Dixie Hummingbirds and the Golden Gate Quartet. Simultaneously powerful, soulful, and deeply personal, The Brotherhood's performances pulsate with energy and always leave their grateful audiences wanting more of their timeless sound.

The Newport Ragtime Band - 8:30PM
The Kentucky Symphony Orchestra formed the Newport Ragtime Band 13 years ago to explore the roots of America's popular music heritage. From the advent of ragtime, just before the turn of the 20th century, through blues, Dixieland and early jazz, composers and musicians created a unique American sound and musical language whose lineage can be traced to today's pop music. In Chicago, New Orleans, St. Louis, Memphis, Kansas City, New York and Cincinnati, this music made indelible impressions on society and gave the United States its own cultural asset to export.  The KSO is proud to authentically recreate music from this era via its nine-piece Newport Ragtime Band.
