Barton D. Darrell has practiced law in Kentucky since 1987. As part of his practice, Mr. Darrell represents public school districts and boards of education. He is also a civil defense trial lawyer, having tried hundreds of cases throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky. This trial practice has resulted in his certification by the National Board of Trial Advocacy as a "Certified Trial Specialist," in his induction into the American College of Trial Lawyers which is by invitation only and includes no more than one percent of the lawyers in any state, and in his induction as a Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America. Mr. Darrell is a formally trained mediator, mediating legal disputes throughout Kentucky.
Mr. Darrell is a 1984 graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College where he earned his Bachelor's of Arts in business administration and management. He is a 1987 graduate of the University of Louisville School of Law and joined the law firm of Bell, Orr, Ayers & Moore, upon graduation. He recently joined Warren County Public Schools in Bowling Green, Kentucky as its attorney.
He is a past president of the Bowling Green-Warren County Bar Association, served as council member and vice chair of Kentucky's Council for Postsecondary Education, and is the founder of "Kids Helping Kids," a program which allows youth the privilege and obligation of helping each other by raising funds and items for school resource centers. Darrell is a 1997 graduate of Leadership Kentucky and is a frequent speaker for public school districts, civic groups and leadership organizations on the importance of finding leadership in our youth. Darrell is a member of the Kentucky Wesleyan College Board of Trustees and serves on its Executive Council. |
