Health
& Wellness
Avondale
The Do
Right! campaign promotes health awareness by
evaluating residents’ nutrition and physical activities,
providing educational opportunities, encouraging fitness
and healthy eating, and advocating policies that increase
access to nutritional food and exercise. The effort is
led by Avondale residents, faith-based organizations,
community-based organizations, health institutions, schools
and local businesses.
In partnership with St. Michael's Church,
the Avondale Youth Council and other local partners, see
the fruits and vegetables of their labor in one of many
urban Farmers Markets in the Avondale neighborhood. For
more information or to get involved, contact LaVerne DeArmond
at the Center
for Closing the Health Gap at 513-585-9872

Youth and adults at Glenn O. Swing Elementary are walking

in partnership with the Friends of Peaselburg’s
