Directions & Travel
For Commencement, parking is available on the Xavier campus. Ample parking is available but the earlier that you arrive, the closer you will be able to get to the Cintas Center. Handicapped parking is available on-site as well.
Information for Guests
NO TICKETS ARE REQUIRED AND THERE IS NO LIMIT ON THE NUMBER OF GUESTS.
Special Needs Seating
Xavier can normally accommodate all special needs seating at the commencement ceremonies, but they are handled on a first come, first served basis. Please remind your family and friend that earlier is better. The gates open at 7:30 a.m. for the 9:00 undergraduate ceremony.
Have your party simply state their need for accessible seating to one of the ushers and they will direct or escort your party to the best available seating that fits their needs.
If accessible parking is needed, several lots in close proximity to the Cintas Center will have temporary “EVENT HANDICAP” signage, including the Suite Reserved, Husman, ISS, C-5 and the lot behind Campus Police. Our parking attendants will direct your party to the best available spaces when they arrive.
The Commencement AnneX, a special location for those with, small children, special needs, difficulty navigating the arena stairs or, those seeking a relaxed location for commencement, will be open on the 4th Floor of the Schiff family conference center in the Cintas Center.
Guests will enjoy a simulcast of the ceremony on a big screen monitor so they’ll not miss a moment of the Commencement exercises while enjoying the comfort and informal nature of the AnneX.
Guests will enjoy complimentary refreshments along with children’s games and activities.
While the AnneX is a great location for those with difficulty navigating the stairs, small children and special needs, any visitor is welcome. So, join us in this new relaxed environment for Commencement visitors.
