Xavier Sweeps Indiana
Xavier's goaltending and offense down the Hoosiers
In game one of the weekend series at the historic Pan-Am center in downtown Indianapolis, Xavier beat Indiana 9-4. Tim Pie started game one for the Musketeers and recorded 33 saves. Pat Riedy, Brett Deacy, Kevin Zdanowicz, Jon Callan, Dar Faroughi, Jack Doyle, and Alex Land all provided the goals for the Musketeers.
In game two, Pat Riedy led the way for the Muskies scoring seven goals in a 12-6 romp over the Hoosiers. Pat scored more goals than IU did in the game. Max Poe had 28 saves, before being replaced by freshman Bobby “Burt” Fricker. Burt came ready to play, and stopped an arsenal of IU shots in the third period. Freshmen Will Narby also recorded his first goal of his Xavier hockey career. Congrats Will! With the two wins, the Musketeers complete the season sweep of Indiana. Xavier has won their last seven meetings against IU, dating back to last season. Overall Xavier improves to 7-1 on the year! Go X!
