Pluralism Project - Domestic & International News

In 1991, the Pluralism Project at Harvard University began a pioneering study of America's changing religious landscape. Through an expanding network of affiliates, they document the contours of our multi-religious society, explore new forms of interfaith engagement, and study the impact of religious diversity in civic life. In 2000, they expanded their study of pluralism to other multi-religious societies.

On their website they collect news stories from across the web on different issues of religious tolerance and coexistence.


Pew Forum News

The Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life, launched in 2001, seeks to promote a deeper understanding of issues at the intersection of religion and public affairs.

The Forum pursues its mission by delivering timely, impartial information to national opinion leaders, including government officials and journalists. As a nonpartisan, non-advocacy organization, the Forum does not take positions on policy debates.


Faith in Public Life News

Faith in Public Life is a strategy center advancing faith in the public square as a positive and unifying force for justice, compassion and the common good. In order to maximize the faith community’s unique ability to shape public debates, Faith in Public Life identifies and creates moments of opportunity, builds and supports broad coalitions, and designs and implements innovative campaigns, bold initiatives and capacity-building tools. Faith in Public Life’s approach emphasizes results, rapid response, cutting-edge skills and media savvy.

On Faith at The Washington Post

According to the Washington Post, the point of their new online religion feature is to provide a forum for sane and spirited talk, drawing on a remarkable panel of distinguished figures from the academy, the faith traditions, and journalism. Members of the group weigh in on a question posed at least once a week, perhaps sometimes more often, depending on the flow of the news.


Faithbook

The Faithbook blog gathers views on different current events from a variety of college students across the country. Student bloggers are selected by the Washington Times specifically to blog for the Faithbook section of On Faith.


The Faith Divide

In his "Faith Divide" blog, Eboo Patel considers the religious events and issues that bring us together or drive us apart. Patel is the founder and Executive Director of the Interfaith Youth Core, a Chicago-based institution building the global interfaith youth movement. He was recently appointed by President Obama to the Advisory Council of the White House Office of Faith Based and Neighborhood Initiatives. He is author of "Acts of Faith: The Story of an American Muslim, the Struggle for the Soul of a Generation." Patel holds a doctorate in the sociology of religion from Oxford University, where he studied on a Rhodes scholarship.
