Xavier Interfaith Club

Academic Day Interfaith Prayer & Service

Every year in the fall the university gathers for Academic Day, a day to celebrate the academic achievements of Xavier and focus on maintaining such success through discussion of issues relevant to academic excellence. The scheduled lectures and panels are geared toward faculty, although classes are cancelled so students may attend.

Each Academic Day opens with an Interfaith Prayer Service, put on by Campus Ministry with the input of Interfaith Club members. As a new annual event, first held in 2008, after the prayer service the Interfaith Club will lead a community service project off campus. Students will participate in community service and then participate in discussion of faith and service moderated by Interfaith Club members. Service locations will vary from year to year, as they are available.
