Valarie Jacobsen - XUDT Advisor

Valarie Jacobsen is proud to return for a third year as advisor to the Xavier University Dance Team.  Her love of dance began at age 3 when she began taking classes at the Nancy Sauer School of Theatrical Dancing in Terre Haute, Indiana where she built over 20 years of training in ballet, pointe, tap, and jazz.  A graduate of Indiana State University, Valarie earned a minor in dance and served in a variety of leadership positions within the ISU Sparkette Dance Team, offering a variety of performance opportunities including several NFL halftime performances, the annual Missouri Valley Conference basketball tournament, and Formula 1 and Brickyard 400 races.  Over the years, Valarie has enjoyed the opportunity to coach, choreograph, and teach youth to collegiate level dancers in the middle/high school, college, and studio settings.  Valarie is Assistant Director of the Career Services Center at Xavier University and loves having the opportunity to be connected with such a talented and spirited group of dancers through advising the Xavier University Dance Team!
