Meet the 2013-2014 EMT

If you want to know more about the Gallagher Student Center, well, meet Abenaa Antwi. She's a sophomore Nursing major from Chicago. Not only she's involved with the EMT, but she is a building manager in the GSC and active member of ASA (African Students Association). You will meet her one day. Trust me, she is an outgoing person.

Jamil Hairston is a sophomore coming to X from Willoughby Hills, Ohio (somewhere up north by that other big city). Most often found playing ultimate frisbee, Jamil is on the club team and participates in BSA.  He comes to the EMT with experience coordinating worship for his youth group and going on mission trips all over the country. Check him out on Bandcamp.

Chelsea Lewis is a sophomore from one of those other Ohio cities (Columbus? Anyone? other Buckeye fans?) with a most amazing voice.  You can hear her share it at Common Ground, where she has led music since basically her third week on campus.  She sings with the Gospel Choir and makes everyone around her feel welcome and loved.

Allison McAloon is a Midwestern girl from a small town in the Chocagoland area. She loves all things animal, zen and science related and is a sophomore nursing major. She is on the Equestrian team, AB, X-Change and works at the Washington United Church of Christ as a Sunday School teacher.

JP McGrath is a sophomore economics major from Wappingers Falls, New York.  He is a huge (HUGE!) New York sports, fan (especially the Yankees) and plays on Xavier's ultimate frisbee team.  In his free time, he likes to play sports, listen to music or just hang out and have a good time.

Zack Moeller is a sophomore from Akron, Ohio who loves worship and serving.  He plays rugby and is in the ROTC program. Be on the lookout for Zack at Manresa 2014.  Be sure to call him out. We are certain that he has a talent for all those cheers.

If you were in the halls of the statehouse this summer, you may have run into Sarah Ochieng.  A sophmore from Nairobi, Kenya, Sarah worked hard in her first year to get to know Xavier, Cincinnati and beyond. She stormed the catwalk at the African Students' Association Gala and can be found behind some expensive equipment in Cintas, but no matter where you find her she is sure to help make Xavier your home, as she has.

Michelle Roach is Guyanese American who resides in Brooklyn, New York.  If her life is any indication, she's open to trying something new. Currently, she is a Junior Psychology major and Natural Science Minor at Xavier. She loves to laugh whether something is funny or not. Spend enough time with Michelle and she will randomly dance on occasion, that's just what she does. Last, but definitely not least, she has a LOVE of food, spoiled by too much home cooking.

Tyler Swanson is a junior education major from the great city of Cincinnati.  Before you ask, he went to Roger Bacon High School.  Tyler may have given you a tour of campus when you were thinking about applying--he is a campus ambassador for Admissions.  You can find him all summer (and part of the spring and the fall) at Kings Island, a dedicated employee who sure likes to ride roller coasters.

Members of the Class of 2014 who served on the Ecumenical Ministry Team:
