Worship and Liturgy

Sunday Mass 4:00 PM - Student Mass celebrated by Fr. Al Bischoff, S.J. and Fr. William Verbryke, S.J.

Sunday Mass 10:00 PM -  Student Mass celebrated by Fr. Michael Graham, S.J., Fr. John LaRocca, S.J., or Fr. Joe Wagner, S.J., who alternate presiding.

Daily masses are also held in the side chapel at 8:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 5:00 PM during the week.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament - Thursdays, 12:30-5:00 PM, Bellarmine Side Chapel.
 
 

Sacraments

Sacrament of Reconciliation - Tuesdays, 9:30 PM at Bellarmine Side Chapel, other times available upon request.
 

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, Confirmation, and First Communion

Are you thinking about becoming Catholic, or need to complete your initiation sacraments?  In conjunction with Bellarmine Parish you will learn more about the Catholic faith and pray together as you discern your call to become Catholic, contact Jane (myersj6@xavier.edu).

 

Christian Life Communities

Christian Life Communities are student led small faith sharing groups that meet on a weekly basis. Contact Deanna (martind@xavier.edu).

Speaker series, films and more!

Faith and Film Series: This movie series highlights films which have Catholic themes and a discussion follows pertaining to this question. Movies such as Juno, The Mission, Of Gods and Men, The Passion, and many others are explored in this series, contact Elizabeth (rahnere@xavier.edu).

Theology By the Slice: This lecture series similar to a "Theology on Tap". Catholic faculty, staff and lay people share their expertise on Catholic issues and teachings and engage students in lively discussion. Pizza and refreshements are provided.  Contact Elizabeth (rahnere@xavier.edu).

Tea with the Saints:  Please join a "tea clutch" with other students interested in sharing the life of a particular saint and the various healing properties of tea! This is a great opportunity to know more about the lives of the saints and the goodness of tea. Contact Elizabeth (rahnere@xavier.edu).

Vocation Group: This is a group of both men and women considering Religious/Priestly life – we meet once a month for sharing fellowship and occasional guest speakers. Contact Matt (dunchm@xavier.edu).

Leadership Opportunities

Catholic Ministry Team gives students an opportunity to explore their own Catholic Identity by entertaining questions that deal with appropriating Catholicism while creating dynamic programs and opportunities for their peers to grow and be challenged. Contact Elizabeth (rahnere@xavier.edu).

Retreat Teams: provides students with an opportunity to lead retreats for their peers. "Approach" and "Encounter" serveand are lead by upper-class students. Contact Tim (dunnt2@xavier.edu).

10pm Mass Committee: meets weekly to discuss the readings for each Sunday’s Mass, to plan and coordinate the various volunteer ministries associated with the liturgy, and to prepare for the various liturgical seasons throughout the year. Contact Tim (dunnt2@xavier.edu).
