Mock Interviews

CSC offers mock interviews for students and alumni. To participate in this service you may sign up for an appointment with a counselor. For best results, please provide the counselor with a copy of your resume and information about the type of position for which you are interviewing prior to your mock interview appointment.

The mock interview is just like a real interview - wear professional attire, bring a resume, and arrive on time. The counselor will develop questions appropriate to your field so that you can practice your responses as well as your nonverbal communication. Upon request, the mock interview can be videotaped so that both you and the counselor can evaluate your interviewing skills and discuss helpful suggestions for improvement. If you would like to videotape your mock interview, please bring a VHS tape to the appointment. Practicing ahead of time will allow you to be more at ease when interviewing with an employer.
