Interviewing
The purpose of the resume is to obtain an interview. The interview is your opportunity to sell your qualifications and to gather information. The interview is your opportunity to match your talents and interests to the needs of the employer. Your goal in the interview is not merely to convince the employer that you are the right person for the job; you should also use the interview to evaluate weather it is the right position for you.
Schedule an appointment with a career counselor to further discuss interviewing in general, participate in a mock interview or even ask for a videotaped mock interview (please bring a VHS tape to the appointment). Preparing for an interview can definitely increase your chances of securing a position right for you.
