Experiential Education

Internships, co-ops, research based experience, practica- student work experiences go by different names, but the one thing they all have in common is they give students valuable career-related experience that makes a difference in post-graduate employment. What does experiential education look like?

“I have built confidence … I have learned to be more organized and self-sufficient. I feel honored to have this experience. Honestly. Experience hands on is irreplaceable, (and) I feel like I'm part of the team.”
-Jennifer Wickline, Liberal Arts major, Stepping Stones Intern

"My internship at Cincy Chic was a great experience. I was able to give input at various staff meetings, handled RSVPs and helped coordinate events such as the networking lucheon, ladies nights, as well as the Red, Pink and Blue Fashion Show at the Purple People Bridge this past summer.  I learned about the interworkings of a publication and applied classroom knowledge about PR to my internship. The benefits of being an intern at Cincy Chic were the networking opportunities!" - Jennifer Alban, Communication Arts major
