This is a list of job boards, career development sites, and professional organization web pages geared toward diverse populations. This is not a comprehensive list but can serve as a starting point in identifying resources for students and alumni from diverse backgrounds.

100 Black Men of America

Founded in 1963; now 105-plus chapters with more than 10,000 members. Its mission includes leadership, mentoring, education, health and economic development.

Advancing Women in Leadership Journal

Advancing Women in Leadership On-line Journal was launched in 1997 with the intent of publishing manuscripts that report, synthesize, review, or analyze scholarly inquiry that focuses on women's issues. The intent of this journal is to encourage and support the proliferation of women in positions of leadership in all aspects of professional and corporate America.

American Association of Blacks in Energy

Founded in 1977; 33 chapters. Specialties include energy policy, technology and the environment.

Asian American Advertising Federation

Organized in 1999. A small organization whose members include Asian American advertising agency principals and media and advertising executives.

Asian American Government Executives Network

Organized in 1994 to promote, expand and support Asian Pacific American leadership at the federal, state and local government levels. Includes high-ranking career and appointed executives, foreign service officers, legislative and judiciary members, and military officers.

Asian American Hotel Owners Association

Represents more than 8,300 members, who collectively own more than 20,000 hotels with 1 million rooms. Mission includes education and advocacy in legislation, the media and throughout the hotel industry.

Asian American Journalists Association

Organized in 1981, to encourage Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders to enter and advance in journalism. Also advocates for fair and accurate coverage of Asian Pacific issues. Approximately 2,000 members in 19 chapters.

Asian American Psychological Association

Started in 1972. Membership includes educators, social workers, psychologists and other mental health professionals with separate divisions for women and students.

Asian American/Pacific Islander Nurses Association

Organized in 1991; includes Asian American nurses in the United States and abroad. Collaborates with other interdisciplinary health and professional organizations.

Asian Diversity

AsianDiversity.com is an online career portal for Asian Americans, which features a job board, original articles, and other ADI programs and events. The site is specifically designed to help companies throughout the country access top Asian and Asian American talent in the United States. Job seekers can post resumes and search for available positions.

Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance, AFL-CIO

Started in 1992; the only national organization of Asian Pacific American union members. Organizes and works with Asian Pacific American workers, many of whom are immigrants, to build the labor movement and address working conditions in the garment, electronics, hotel and restaurant, food processing and healthcare industries.

Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association

Founded in 1993. Represents more than 15,000 Asian Pacific American medical students in chapters throughout the United States. Services include education, networking and advocacy for healthcare professionals who work with the Asian American community.

Asian Week Online

Online version of magazine publication emphasizing national news, entertainment, and editorials focusing on Asian American interest and concerns.

Asian Women in Business

Founded in 1995. Assists Asian American women in realizing their entrepreneurial potential by offering information, education and networking opportunities.

Asian/Pacific American Librarians Association

Since 1980, a professional organization for Asian Pacific American librarians and those who serve Asian Pacific American communities.

Association of Latino IT Professionals

Founded in 2002; membership includes seasoned professionals and Hispanics/Latinos seeking IT careers. Offers opportunities for leadership and education through partnerships with industry, government and academia.

Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting

The Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) is the leading professional association dedicated to enhancing opportunities for Latinos in the accounting, finance and related professions. ALPFA is a not-for-profit entity registered with the Internal Revenue Service. Website provides information on scholarship programs and resources.

BCA : Black Culinarian Alliance

Incorporated as the Black Culinarian Alliance in 1998 and now known by its acronym. A national educational and networking organization that serves African American and other minority professionals working in hospitality and food services.

Black Data Processing Organization

Organized in 1975. More than 55 chapters. Open to African Americans in data processing and related fields.

Black Enterprise

Premier business news source for African Americans since 1970. Provides key business information for researching companies as well as position searching platform. Also featured B.E.s 100. The top 100 black-owned/managed businesses. They have them divided by industry and the newer organizations to the list.

Greenlining's Academy is a multi-ethnic leadership training program in low-income advocacy and community economic development. The Academy Fellowship Program is an annual leadership training program for multi-ethnic students who have at minimum completed their undergraduate studies and want experience working on low-income and minority economic development. The Academy Summer Associates Program is an intensive, ten-week leadership training program for multi-ethnic graduate level students who want experience working on low-income and minority economic development issues as policy analysts, advocates and community organizers.

Hispanic Employment Program

Hispanic National Bar Association

Since 1972, a professional organization for Hispanic/Latino attorneys, judges, law professionals and law students in the US and Puerto Rico; 22,000 members.

National Asian American Society of Accountants

Started as the Asian American Society of CPAs. Its mission is to influence and encourage the development of accounting professionals and students and serve as a voice for Asian and Pacific Islander communities in accounting. Chapters are located in New York and San Francisco.

National Asian Pacific American Bar Association

Begun in 1988. Represents more than 40,000 attorneys and 47 local Asian Pacific American bar associations, from solo practitioners to large firms, as well as corporations, legal service organizations, nonprofits, law schools and government agencies. Also includes judges, law professors and law students.

National Asian Peace Officers' Association

Founded in 1980 and comprised of approximately two dozen chapters. Fosters the development of professional and fraternal relationships within Asian and Pacific Islander law enforcement communities throughout the US.

National Association for the Advancement of Colored People

Organization provides guidance, resources, and works to promote the advancement of minorities, specifically African Americans.

National Association of African Americans in Human Resources

A national organization of human resource professionals with 26 local chapters; includes consultants and students.

National Association of Asian American Professionals

Founded in 1982; eight chapters in the US and Canada. Educates members through professional development and raises corporate awareness of Asian American issues. Includes members from medicine, technology, law , finance, education, entertainment, the military and other fields.

National Association of Black Accountants

Founded in 1969. Membership includes more than 200,000 African American professionals in accounting and finance.

National Association of Black Journalists

A professional organization for African Americans working in print, radio, television, new media and related areas; founded in 1975.

National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice

Organized in 1974; state and local chapters across the US. Members include law enforcement personnel, corrections officers, court employees, social services workers, academics and clergy.

National Association of Hispanic Federal Executives
National Association of Hispanic Journalists

Founded in 1984; the national voice for Hispanics/Latinos working in television, radio, print, new media and other media-related professions. Its 2,300 members include journalism educators and students.

National Association of Hispanic Nurses

National Association of Puerto Rican and Hispanic Social Workers

National Bar Association

An advocate for social justice since 1925; promotes professional development for African Americans in the legal profession. More than 20,000 member lawyers, judges, educators and law students.

National Black Business Trade Association

A self-help resource and networking group founded in 1993 that provides businesspeople with information, products, services and technologies.

National Black MBA Association

Offers a variety of programs to support African Americans pursuing careers in business, and sponsors the Leaders of Tomorrow program, which identifies promising high school talent.

National Medical Association

The oldest (founded 1895) and largest national professional organization for African American physicians. A leading force for parity in medicine, it provides educational programs and conducts outreach efforts.

National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives

Founded in 1976; more than 3,500 members. Public service organization serves as the "conscience of law enforcement."

National Sales Network

An association of African American sales and sales management professionals. Organized in 1992, with more than 1,200 members in nine chapters.

National Society of Black Engineers

Started in 1975, it now has more than 10,000 members, 270 college and university chapters, 75 alumni extension chapters and 75 precollege chapters. The group's mission is to increase the number of African American engineers, as well as help them succeed professionally and to give back to their communities.

National Society of Black Physicists

The largest organization of African American physicists; 16 sections ranging from astronomy, astrophysics and nuclear physics to technology transfer, business development and entrepreneurship. Its mission is to promote the professional well-being of African American physicists within the international scientific community.

National Society of Hispanic MBAs

Fosters leadership through graduate management education and professional development for the rapidly growing Latino community.

Organization of Black Designers

Comprised of 3,500 design professionals in visual communications, as well as graphic, interior, fashion and industrial design.

Personal Strategies Diversity Job Fairs
