Off-Campus (Work-Study) Jobs: Community Service Jobs Program
The Community Service Jobs Program (CSJP) was created in 1994 in compliance with government regulations. At that time, it was required that five percent of the Federal Work Study (FWS) budget be allocated to students serving in a community service capacity. In compliance with this, work-study awarded students with the ability to travel off-campus may also consider employment off site. All participating students receive appropriate on-site supervision and are expected to attend four group reflection sessions during the academic year. Sites include:
In order to find a CSJP, work-study job, students are encouraged to attend the annual Employment Fair, which is held before classes begin in August. Students must take the initiative to find an on-campus job. Jobs are not guaranteed to all work study students.
