Information Session
Information sessions are also known as employer presentations. Information sessions have a precise start and end time. Typically, an employer delivers a presentation on the organization and job opportunities within the company. Information sessions can be held on the Xavier University Campus depending on room and staff availability. Although there is no charge for this service, many employers elect to offer food during information sessions. The Career Services Center offers this service at no cost.
Scheduling an information session at least 3 weeks in advance will give the Career Services Center adequate time to market your visit.
Open House
Open houses are networking events where students can stop by at any time during the advertised time frame to briefly learn about an organization and job/internship opportunity. Open houses can be held on the Xavier University Campus depending on room and staff availability. Although there is no charge for this service, many employers elect to offer refreshments during an open house event.
Scheduling an open house at least 3 weeks in advance will give the Career Services Center adequate time to market your visit.
Information Table
Employers may staff an information table in the Xavier University student center (Gallagher) where students come and go. These are scheduled during peak times in the day, typically between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Employers may bring a display for a 6 foot table. We schedule up to one employer per day. There is no cost for this service.
Scheduling an information table at least 1 week in advance will give the Career Services Center adequate time to market your visit.
On Campus Interview
Many organizations conduct first interviews on campus in effort to attract the talented Xavier student to work for their organization. Students utilize eRecruiting (Xavier's online job board) to apply for interviews. Employers use eRecruiting to post their positions and to manage their on campus recruitment schedules. The campus interview program generally operates from October to December and February to April and exact dates are determined by room availability. The Career Services Center offers this service at no cost.
Scheduling an On Campus Interview at least 4 weeks prior to an interview date will allow adequate time for students to apply to your position. In addition, it allows the Career Services Center enough time to market your visit.
