Career Services for Alumni

On-line job board, eRecruiting

Alumni may register for eRecruiting, Xavier's online job board. Alumni may search current job postings and upload their resumes to a resume book for view by potential employers.

Career Fairs

Alumni are welcome to attend Xavier's Employment Fairs, offered in the Fall and Spring semesters. The fairs provide an opportunity to network and to explore full-time, part-time and internship positions in the areas of human services, communications, education, the arts, sciences and business.

Workshops/Programs

Alumni may attend workshops and programs sponsored by the CSC throughout the academic year. Events range from resume, cover letter and interview workshops to professional etiquette, professional image and professional ethics seminars.

Resource Library

Career and organization information, career planning guides, job market statistics, salary surveys and other career-related information is available in the CSC Resource Library (room 310, Gallagher Student Center) and in Xavier's McDonald Memorial Library.

Career Counseling

Alumni may contact the CSC with career-related questions. Counselors can assist you with career planning, job-search strategies, resume writing, interview skills, and identifying appropriate resources to meet your career needs.

Other XU Career Services

Alumni may also access job search assistance through the Xavier Alumni & Friends website. Through this website, alumni will have access to job postings from employers who specifically requested Xavier University alumni. In addition, this useful resource has an online networking and mentoring component.

Off-campus Resources

The Hyde Park Job Search Focus Group meets (almost) every Monday at the Hyde Park Community United Methodist Church.  Here, a large group of professionals who are involved in a job search network and learn about job search techniques.
