Dr. Debora Kuchey from Xavier University's Department of Childhood Education and Literacy is the recipient of the 2012 Kenneth Cummins Award. The award is given by the Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics (OCTM) for Exemplary Mathematics Teaching to a college level teacher of mathematics or mathematics education. She is an active scholar in the area of mathematics education and has published numerous articles for the Ohio Journal for School Mathematics and has also made contributions to the Mid-West Educational Research Journal and the Journal of Family Studies.
