Kara Rettig-Pfingstag, Xavier’s Director of Pre-Professional Health Advising, Department of Biology, attended the National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions (NAAHP) Annual Conference in Chicago from June 25 -29. She served as the Moderator for the "Allopathic Medicine Admissions Workshop" with Baylor College of Medicine and Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.
Dr. Bill O'Connell from the Dept. for School and Community Counseling in CSSHE will cycle from Cleveland to Cincinnati from August 7-10th to raise money for Hope Lodge as part of an American Cancer Society fundraising event. Dr. O'Connell is beginning his term as President of the Ohio Counseling Association (OCA) and decided to kick start his presidential year with a ride across the state.
Xavier University has formed a Graduate School of Business in the Williams College of Business (WCB). Dr. Raghu Tadepalli, Associate WCB Dean, will serve as the dean of the graduate school while continuing his duties as associate WCB dean. Tadepalli has been at Xavier since 1997 and is also a professor of Marketing. He has won many awards for his teaching and research and continues to teach in the MBA programs and also publish in academic journals. He has an MBA from Arizona State University and his Ph.D. from Virginia Tech. WCB’s part-time MBA program is ranked 16th in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.
Students will return to Xavier's campus beginning August 22, when the freshman class moves in. Classes begin on August 25.
