What role does writing have in a mathematics or computer science course at Xavier? How can a student’s written work be assessed effectively? Are there activities aimed to help improve a student’s ability to communicate in writing?
These, and other related questions, will be addressed. Audience participation is encouraged!
Leading our discussion will be Dr. Stephen Yandell, Faculty Director of the Center for Teaching Excellence at Xavier and Associate Professor of English, and Dr. Kristine Johnson, Writing Program Director and Assistant Professor of English.
This event will take place on Monday, November 19 at 3:00pm in 107 Albers Hall. Light refreshments will be available 15 minutes prior to the start of seminar.
