John F. “Jack” Cassidy, President and CEO of Cincinnati Bell, Inc., will speak at Xavier University on Wednesday, February 16 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. in Duff Banquet Hall located in Xavier’s Cintas Center. This is the first presentation for the Williams College of Business Distinguished Speakers Series for 2011. Mr. Cassidy will speak on “Discovering and Executing on Purpose.” The Distinguished Speakers Series is presented by PNC.
Attendance for this event is available only through table sponsorships. A table of eight can be reserved for $2,000. Proceeds are used for student and faculty development. In addition to the presentation and lunch, your company receives its name on the table. A limited number of single seats are available at $100 per seat. Cassidy oversees strategy and operations for a company that earns $1.3 billion a year in revenue. In 2008, Forbes magazine hailed him as “the most honest man in telecomm.” Outside the workplace, Cassidy spearheads a nationally-recognized tutoring program with Cincinnati’s Taft Information Technology High School, which gives inner-city youth the education and training they need to be productive, responsible citizens. The effort was recently profiled on NPR’s The Story.” Cassidy also serves on the boards of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, the Cincinnati Business Committee, the Cincinnati Museum Center, and the Boomer Esiason Foundation.
Cassidy has been named “Cincinnatian of the Year” by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and “Man of the Year” by the Cincinnati Friars Club. This year, he received the Distinguished Service Award from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Business for his contributions to UC and the community.
