12 and 15 Passenger Van Driver Safety Training

Risk Management offers van defensive driver program | February 19, 2009

Students and employees who drive a 12 or 15 passenger van insured by the university must complete a van defensive driver training course including on-road driving offered through Risk Management and The Cincinnati Insurance Company.  There is no charge. 

Prior authorization to drive a university-insured vehicle is required.  University-insured vehicles may include any vehicle owned, rented or leased in the university's name.  All drivers must be at least 21 years of age. 

Classroom sessions are held in Flynn Hall and are followed by on-road practice driving a 15 passenger van. Please allow two hours to complete the safety course (classroom and driving).

Current schedule for van driving trainings:

 Thursday, January 15 at 6:00 pm  

 Wednesday, January 21 at 6:00 pm

Saturday, February 7 at 8:00 am

Tuesday, February 24 at 6:00 pm

Minimum registration requirements must be met for all training dates.  Cancellations will be posted on the Risk Management website.
