On October 8, Michael J. Graham, S.J., president of Xavier University, signed a memorandum of understanding with Xu Hongwei, director of International Cooperation and Exchange Affairs at Zhengzhou Normal University. This agreement lays the foundation for a cooperative relationship between the two universities with particular attention to Montessori Education.

Xavier University School of Nursing Receives $827K Grant for Cross-Collaborative Training

Xavier University has received a three-year Health Resources and Services Administration grant totaling $827,256 supporting development and implementation of an all-college interprofessional collaboration course and program. Part of the funding supports faculty travel to share what is developed so other institutions can emulate Xavier’s model.

Friday, Sept. 14 at 8:00 pm, winners of a student essay contest on the theme of immigration were announced. Xavier University’s Office of Interfaith Community Engagement (Rabbi Abie Ingber, founding director) and Center for the Study of the American Dream created the contest as part of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s follow-up on the booklet, Cincinnati: A City of Immigrants.

Williams College of Business Awards Students for Applying Skills to Study Abroad

Last academic year, 66 Xavier University MBA students completed a semester-long Doing Business in the Global Economy course, which required a 10- to 12-day international study trip. Students traveled to China, Hong Kong, Brazil, Argentina, London and Germany, where they completed a global market opportunity analysis, examining the viability of introducing a new product or service to an international market.
