College Fair at Xavier

Xavier University will host over 130 nationally-recognized universities at the 10th Annual Spring College Fair Sunday, April 25 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Cintas Center on the University campus. There is no charge and visitors do not have to RSVP. Plenty of free parking is available adjacent to the Cintas Center.

Two lectures are scheduled on Sunday, April 11th and Monday April 12th as part of Xavier’s Ethics/Religion and Society Series. Wendell Berry, Wes Jackson and Gene Logsdon will hold “An Informal Conversation” on Sunday, April 11th at 7:00 in the Arena in Xavier’s Cintas Center.

Xavier’s Department of Classics’ annual Robert J. Murray lecture series will feature Dr. Francis Dunn on Saturday March 13, at 4:00 pm in the Conaton Board Room located in Schmidt Hall. The lecture “The Stage on Stage: Metatheater in Greek Tragedy” is free and open to the public.

Site Clearing to Begin for New Xavier University Residential Complex and Dining Hall

On Thursday, March 4 at about 8:00 am, four buildings will be razed to make way for a new phase of Xavier University’s future. The Dorothy Day House, Bellarmine Parish House, Loyola House on Herald Avenue and the Xavier Field Office on Ledgewood will come down to make way for a complex expected to open in August 2011.
