The Impact of Integration in the United States | September 13, 2010

Please join the Office of Multicultural Affairs for “Economics of Integration” on Monday, September 20, at 4:00pm in the Conaton Learning Center Kennedy Lecture Hall (Room 412), for a dialogue that will explore the impact of integration in the United States on various races, cultures, sexual identities and faiths.  

Guest facilitator Michael D. Griffin, executive director of DevonShireSmith Diversity and Education Solutions, and panelists will help the audience to discuss the impact of available financial resources for community development and the achievement of integration.

Michael D. Griffin was born and raised in Detroit, MI. He attended Adrian College and received dual degrees in Human Service and Psychology. He then attended the University of Cincinnati and received is MSW (Master of Social Work). His passion for helping people has led him to be the co-founder and executive director of DevonShireSmith and Education Solutions. DevonShireSmith is a progressive, non-profit organization consulting and advocacy firm dedicated to the passionate promotion of youth and development and social justice education.

Xavier University’s Office of Multicultural Affairs, a department in the Division of Student Life and Leadership, exists to help the University realize its diversity goals.  Multicultural Affairs provides services and programs to enrich the academic, cultural and social experiences of Xavier students.
