Antonio Johnson Scholarship Gala Theme Announced

On behalf of the University Scholarship Committee, the Office of Multicultural Affairs, and the Black Student Association, we are pleased to announce that nominations have been accepted for the 2010 Antonio Johnson Scholarship Award. Any member of the Xavier community may nominate a student of African descent for this prestigious scholarship that will be awarded at the 34th Annual Antonio Johnson Scholarship Banquet on Friday, April 16, 2010.  The scholarship is worth, full tuition, fees, room and board, and books.  The winner will be awarded the scholarship for his or her senior year.

 

The finalists for this year’s scholarship are: Michele Brockington, Thailer Buari, Alexis Ponder and Amanda Tooley.  Please join us in congratulating these scholars.

 

Additionally, please mark your calendars for the “Out of the Box” Fashion Show, on Saturday, February 6, at 7pm in the Gallagher Student Center Theatre.  The funds raised will support the Scholarship Gala, while highlighting the creative talents of Xavier community members.  Tickets are $10 and be purchased by contact Melinda Jennings at jenningsm1@xavier.edu or Lauren Bobbitt at bobbittL@xavier.edu.
