Spanish Professor Collaborates with Education Students

Dr. Diane Ceo-DiFrancesco, an Associate Professor in the Department of Modern Languages, has collaborated with two XU student teams for the 2008 Ohio Foreign Language Conference, held in Cincinnati April 4 & 5.

Graduate students Allison Billups and Maria Starkey-Ushupun will present with Dr. Ceo-DiFrancesco on Friday, April 4. Their session title is "Increasing the Use of Target Language in the Classroom: The Journey of Beginning Foreign Language Teachers."

A second presentation on April 5,"Training for K-12 Licensure: Providing Field Experiences with Younger Learners," includes undergraduate students Analise Belfiore and Emily Foltz. Analise will present information from her senior research project, while both Analise and Emily will discuss their field experiences conducted at the Xavier Montessori Lab School.
