William F. Groneman is Executive Vice President of TriHealth, with accountability for the operations of TriHealth’s community based services such as Hospice of Cincinnati, TriHealth Corporate Health Services, the TriHealth Physician Enterprise, and TriHealth ambulatory and senior services. He also oversees the organization’s Information Systems and Human Resources departments.
He joined Bethesda Hospital in 1987 as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Bethesda North Hospital and, in 1991, he moved to Bethesda Oak Hospital as Senior Vice President. Will was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Bethesda system in 1994, which included both Bethesda North and Oak hospitals and numerous outreach services. He also served as CEO of Hospice of Cincinnati at that time. In 1995, Bethesda Hospital joined with Good Samaritan Hospital to form TriHealth. Will assumed his current responsibilities at that time.
Prior to assuming his role with Bethesda in 1987, Will served in a number of administrative capacities with Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs.
A native of Cincinnati, Will earned his Bachelor’s degree from Brown University and his Masters in Health Services Administration from Xavier University. He was an AHA/Blue Cross Fellow at their national offices in Chicago in 1980. In 1994, Will was honored for his work and achievements by the American College of Healthcare Executives in 1994 with the Robert S. Hudgens Award for the ACHE’s Young Healthcare Administrator of the Year.
